Team Imagine has been asking me to put together a bread website for a few months now. I knew I wanted them to create the website, I just didn’t know how. This is what we did to make our website come to life.
We used our writing time to reflect and write about our successes, challenges and other ideas. Students then met with writing partnerships to go through a feedback protocol they are familiar with, praise, polish, question. Most took the feedback seriously, making changes or adding to their work. When they felt ready to publish their work the learners signed up for a final editing conference with me.
When I first showed them our website they were so excited, they still are, but this is our website so I was sure to ask for feedback about what to add, change or feature. We followed the same praise, question, polish protocol they are used to and made changes to our work.
My students have been working hard to reflect on our little bread project. They have some BIG ideas for our project even if we have a short time left in school. Check out our site if you have the time!
